We are excited at the opportunity to be in partnership on this fine bull. When we saw this bull at Denver from a rear view we were nothing but impressed by his shape and dimension through his quarter. He was tied in Mill Creek's string and assumed this was a horned bull. Wanting a side view of this massive bull it was quickly noted this bull is polled. He is 75% horned genetics and offers the quality we have become accustomed to in the horned business. For months after Denver we combed the US and Canada looking for a new herd bull and this bull kept coming back to mind. He has all the traits we look for, depth, muscle, disposition, great uddered mother, and sound stride. So with all of those positives Douthit Herefords made its first polled bull purchase. He is owned in partnership with Mill Creek and Ryan & Sharon Briener.

Since Chuck and Megan took over the operation from Walter they have used 443 as their foundation sire. He puts pounds on his calves, cows have a great mothering ability. To put it simply he is a breeding bull that is withstanding the test of time. At 7 years old we are still using him heavy and with AI. We have buyers request HIS bull calves...as they can be used on heifers with ease or cows. He will be on display during the tour for all to see him. We will get him in off of grass two days prior...his working clothes will be on and he still looks great!

This bull is a very maternal bull. He has females working in purebred and commercial operations in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, Kansas, and Colorado. His bulls are also some of the heaviest at weaning time and have depth that we have rarely seen surpassed in the Hereford breed and he is passing that broodiness on.
